2025 07 11

Ieva Bieliūnaitė-Jankauskienė, who has served on the Board of Lithuania’s largest cosmetics manufacturer “BIOK laboratorija” for the past two years, has been appointed as the company’s interim CEO. She succeeds Norbertas Žioba, who led the company for the last four years. Romualda Stragienė, co-owner of “BIOK laboratorija,” is returning to the Board after three years as Director of the Innovation Agency.

“We thank Norbertas for his contribution during one of the most important periods in our company’s history — when the entire production was successfully relocated to a newly built, modern facility, when private label product development accelerated, and when an open and positive workplace culture was fostered,” says Mindaugas Stragis, co-owner and Chairman of the Board of “BIOK laboratorija.” “We wish Norbertas success in his future projects. Meanwhile, ‘BIOK laboratorija’ is entering its next phase, focused on intensive expansion into export markets — a direction that requires new experiences and professional competencies.”

A few years ago, the company invested approximately €6.5 million in a new production facility, which today stands as the largest toothpaste manufacturing site in the Baltic region. This investment has significantly expanded production capacity — up to 25 million units annually. Currently, “BIOK laboratorija” is continuing its growth: it aims to modernize and diversify its product lines and increase export volumes, which currently account for around 50% of its revenue.

Ieva Bieliūnaitė-Jankauskienė, who has taken over as interim CEO, has been a member of the “BIOK laboratorija” Board for nearly two years. She brings over 15 years of leadership experience in business strategy development and implementation across diverse sectors — including marketing, retail, and manufacturing. Ieva is a strategist at the internationally affiliated marketing agency TBWA\Vilnius and has academic experience, having previously lectured for 12 years at ISM University of Management and Economics. Bieliūnaitė-Jankauskienė was also responsible for preparing and organizing the highly successful “Stasys Museum,” which was recognized by LRT as a cultural phenomenon of 2024. Earlier in her career, she served as Marketing Director for the international credit bureau group “Creditinfo,” overseeing operations in 33 countries, and prior to that was Marketing Manager at “BIOK laboratorija,” where she introduced new brands such as “Rasa anti-age,” “Aras,” and others.

“Ieva is an exceptionally competent leader with deep expertise in strategic planning, change management, and long-term business vision development. Her insights, entrepreneurial spirit, and professionalism will undoubtedly strengthen our company’s pursuit of faster growth and international competitiveness,” says M. Stragis.

Romualda Stragienė, who worked at “BIOK laboratorija” from 2005 to 2022, will now be responsible for business development projects on the Board.

As of 2024, “BIOK laboratorija” generated €10.7 million in revenue. The company currently employs 67 people, and its 15 brands — including “Ecodenta,” “Kilig,” “Margarita,” “Rasa,” and others — are well known both in Lithuania and in international markets.
